In this edition article, I will discuss about SSL. Okay, now I will outline perdetail about SSL.

Definition Of SSL

SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer is a protocol that has a function to secure your website or blog. SSL works to create an encrypted path between your Website with Web Browser. Thus, the information contained in the website or blog you will be safe from theft committed by others. SSL has the distinction of each type of SSL's own right, the following explanation from me.

Differences In Types Each SSL

In the base there are 3 kinds of certificates in SSL, the Domain Validation SSL and Business Validation SSL and Extended Validation SSL. All three types of SSL has the functions and requirements of each. Here are the details,

1. Domain Validation SSL

This kind SSL mode only requires domain validation via email just your own SSL certificate that can be used. Only a few minutes then you can direct SSL enabled.

2. Business Validation SSL

For an organization or company that would enable SSL only takes a few documents that are required to meet the requirements.

3. Extended Validation SSL

For those of you who want a Website or Blog security level is high, then you can choose the type of SSL like this. SSL mode is generally used for a business website, e-commerce, and banking. Why is that? Because the website require a higher level of security. Extended Validation SSL obviously need business documents and also spend very high among other types of SSL certificates. However, it is worth paying more for the sake of a better service? Imagine if your website data was stolen by. While the website has confidential data belonging to its customers, a secret number of credit cards, and so on. If you choose the type of SSL like this, then you will get the Green Bar located in the address bar in your web browser.

Wildcard SSL

Have you ever heard the phrase Wildcard SSL? quoted from Wikipedia, Wildcard SSL is a certificate containing the public key for multiple subdomains that exist in each domain. Wildcard SSL is aimed at securing the entire domain and subdomain of the main domain belongs to your website or blog. However, regular SSL certificates for securing just and domain.com www.domain.com only.
